Harold was hit by a car very early Monday morning.
He was dead by the time I found him on my drive to work.
I was not able to bring him back to the farm to be buried.
Although Harold never truly became our cat, I wanted to commemorate him.
I only wish that this scared creature had been able to find a little more comfort and peace in his life.
So sad. It’s a hard life out there in the wild for cast away pets.
I wish we’d been able to convince him that it didn’t have to be that hard.
Aw, poor Harold. And poor you, for finding him! If it’s any consolation, he probably was happy on the farm a lot of the time, just by himself, in his own way.
That is a consolation.
Awww, Julia, I am so sorry for your loss of Harold. I am sure you did everything you could to make him welcome.
Thanks for your sympathy, Sarah.
I’m so sorry for your loss. And that you had to find him that way, unable to say goodbye. He knew he had you, that is everything.
Thank you, Tracy.
I’m sorry. 😦 That is so hard.
Thank you.
Aww, that is so sad. I am so sorry. It’s never easy, but finding him like that makes it even harder. I hope he went quickly and with no pain. He is up in pet heaven chasing mice on a big farm now!
That’s a great image.
Just read your news about sweet Harold. So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed reading about him in your older post. Take care.
Thank you, Lindsay.
