I’m still easing in to 2017 here. Coming up, I’ll be reviewing how I did on Home Goals 2016 and setting new ones for 2017.
Before that happens, I’m taking a look back at some of the other memorable moments and posts from 2016.
The beauty of having a blog is that it helps me track what happens over the course of a year.
2016 was a year of very little rain, hence the poor harvest and the ditch fire. It was a year of new, with our first homemade maple syrup, Monarch butterflies and the birdbath. Some are small events, some are bigger accomplishments. Altogether, they make up the moments that I don’t want to forget from our life on the farm.
Who else is doing some reflecting on the year just past? Did you have a memorable 2016?
I love the start of the year because I love these kinds of reflective posts. A great collection of reflections here, hopefully 2017 brings you just as many, if not more, memories!
Thanks so much. Wishing you all the best for 2017 too.
The blog is indeed a wonderful way to look back! With the stories and the pictures all beautifully put together.
I haven’t looked back a whole lot on 2016. I don’t know why, I usually do but I haven’t felt like it. Maybe because there have been some painful things, and I’m doing something new now (I’ve started a university course towards a new/old degree) so I feel more like looking forward. I also have lots of chaos in my mementos, photos in many places – phone, two computers, a couple of memory sticks, an iPad – so that I’m overwhelmed at the very idea of trying to assemble things and get them in some kind of order. So…onward ho! 😀
That’s a legit perspective. And it sounds like you have some special things to look forward to you. Congratulations for starting your course. That’s a huge step.
I agree with Jan, I am ready to look forward more than look back. I have some wonderful things to look forward to in 2017!
I love the excitement and optimism of a new year too.
