Snow melts. Grass dies. And all of a sudden things appear.
Things like a giant wasp nest.
I’ve never seen a nest this large. Let alone one built on the ground.
Never mind knee high to a grasshopper. This is knee high to a grown (albeit not super tall) woman.
Have you ever seen a nest this large? Is spring uncovering anything at your house?
We have a number of hyacinths and a few groups of tulips coming up. Great to see!
I’m excited to see some flowers blooming again!
Wow that thing is huge! I wonder why it was built so near the ground? I usually see them way up in a tree.
It seems to have been built around a few twigs. But I dunno. It all seems a bit weird.
Whoa! Freakkkkyyy… Are you able to leave it alone, or is it in a spot where you need to do something about it?
We don’t do anything with the meadow behind the barn–don’t even mow. So this should be able to stay where it is.
I like that – everyone destroys the nests right away, but even wasps have to live somewhere…
I prefer to live and let live. However, someone commented that they may be a bit vicious. We’ll see if there’s an issue.
